Public Talk 18th April at Grimsby Town Hall, 7.15pm

Arts heritage projects update and the importance of Art

Dale Wells and Darren Neave are two post-grad artists with arts restoration experience who have been involved in resurrecting some of the area’s neglected public art as well as transforming Grimsby’s art scene with their wonderfully weird and wacky exhibitions.

Having established their first base at 8 Victoria Street, as TurnTable Gallery, they are presently branded as tt88, on Wharncliffe Road as part of the ‘Kasbah’ restoration on Grimsby Docks.

This public Talk on the 18th April will give insight into the complexities of arts restoration as well as discuss why Art itself is important for the well-being of society.  Currently, one heritage project they are involved with is restoring ‘Family Group’, one of Harold Gosney’s early works which used to be prominent at Immingham’s’ Kennedy Centre.  Alongside such restoration work, they attract globally renowned artists to their galleries, with their latest exhibition of ceramics Ceramixology - ‘a crafted cocktail of contemporary artists’ opening 27th April.

Our public Talks start at 7.15pm and are free to members, £3 for non-members (cash only please).

Refreshments available for a small donation.

We look forward to seeing you!
